14 most striking novelties of Belagro-2014
13.05.2015
The first month of summer in Belarus traditionally began with the agro-industrial week. As part of the Belagro-2014 and Belferma exhibitions, 485 exhibitors from 18 countries presented the most advanced technologies and equipment for agricultural enterprises at two demonstration sites. The program of the largest agricultural forum was complemented by professional competitions, numerous seminars and business meetings. Brand of Belarus
One of the venues of the exhibition - the football arena in Minsk - is traditionally almost completely given to domestic processors. Here are dairy and meat products, as well as products of confectionery factories and bakeries - everything that annually brings our country more than $ 5 billion in export earnings. At the main exposition - on the demonstration field of OAO "Gastellovskoye" - you can see the achievements of livestock breeding, fish farming, varieties and hybrids of domestic selection, the best examples of agricultural machinery.
“The final product is our high brand, it is recognized abroad,” said Minister of Agriculture and Food Leonid Zayats, opening Belagro-2014, and said that this year Belarusian agricultural products began to be exported to seven new countries.
Many guests from abroad consider "Belagro" as a fair of Belarusian products and come here for the sake of new contracts. By the way, during the exhibition a new agreement was signed between the Moscow Agricultural Enterprise and the Department of Trade and Services of the city of Moscow on the supply of Belarusian food to the Russian capital. Agreements were also concluded, memorandums of cooperation were signed with Sri Lanka, Slovakia, and individual subjects of the Russian Federation.
AIC in new conditions
The current exhibition was also influenced by the signing on the eve of the agreement on the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union by the presidents of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia. The theme of the new economic union ran like a red thread through the entire agro-industrial week. "Belagro" was visited by the Minister for Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergei Sidorsky. Speaking to the participants, he noted that agriculture is of paramount importance in the new interstate entity:
- For the first time in history, we have defined the general concept of building agriculture into three states. This will give a powerful impetus to the development of agricultural production in the EAEU. Priorities and cooperative issues have been determined. This document contains the future of agricultural production in our countries.
At the first Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia, it was also about the development of a unified agro-industrial policy (read about this in the article “Eurasian integration for the agricultural sector”). Representatives of central and regional governments and legislators at various levels of the two states discussed recommendations for amending the legislation of the allied countries, which would simplify the work of agricultural enterprises in the common market.
Presentation of new technologies
Despite the importance of the food exposition and international contacts, Belagro's visitors focused on machinery and technology. This year the exposition in Gastellovsky did not disappoint. Many novelties of domestic technology were presented. Of course, prototypes were demonstrated at the stands, but the manufacturers promised to start mass production next year. Such a rate of development of new technology does not surprise anyone in our country. First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko stressed that the domestic industry is able to provide Belarusian farmers with everything they need:
- In 8-10 years, we have created the entire line of agricultural equipment - from the seeder-window machine to the most complex high-tech units that 100% meet the needs of Belarus.
Among the most significant novelties of Belagro-2014 is a tractor with a capacity of 450 hp. with., which will significantly increase labor productivity in field work. It can work with wide range equipment. Also, the new machine will help strengthen the positions of Belarusian tractor builders in foreign markets.
“We saw here 15 new agricultural machines and units that were not produced in the republic before,” summed up the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Leonid Marynich. - In addition to the 450 hp tractor. s., this is a self-propelled mower, a 9-furrow reversible plow that can plow outside the furrow, for a 350 hp tractor. With. The exhibition makes us progress, renew and improve every year.
It should be noted that domestic innovations organically complemented the high-tech equipment and machines of the world's leading manufacturers. Western companies and their dealers also demonstrated equipment that was not previously offered to Belarusian farmers and which represents the latest generation of agricultural machinery.
Not only an exhibition, but also study
Of course, Belagro is a showcase, and one must understand that in everyday life the domestic agro-industrial complex has both problems and shortcomings.
processing. This was also discussed at the exhibition. According to the Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich, who heads the interdepartmental working group on solving problematic issues in the agro-industrial complex, the lag behind the level of production last year (by 5.4% in January-April) is due to both objective and subjective reasons.
- Objectives know everything. The peasants will tell you that agriculture is an open-air workshop, and not everything depends on their labor. Subjective reasons - non-compliance with technology. A third of the shortage of financial resources that the village is experiencing is our mismanagement. If the technological regimes had been observed, we would have received an additional 14 trillion rubles,” the Prime Minister said.
The measures proposed by the working group will help solve the problems of the agro-industrial complex. Draft decrees of the President and other normative legal acts have already been prepared, which should give a new impetus to the development of the agricultural sector. They can be approved at the end of next month. However, this is only half the story.
The main work will fall on the shoulders of farmers. This means not only an increase in responsibility, the elimination of mismanagement, but also the use of the latest technologies. Numerous seminars and conferences held within the framework of the exhibition contributed to their dissemination. Farmers were introduced to the latest technologies in bioenergy and pig breeding. German experts shared their international experience in dairy farming. The pedigree dairy cattle competition has set a high bar for domestic farms to strive for. As part of the Day of the Belarusian Field, agronomists were able to compare varieties and hybrids of major agricultural crops on one site. Ordinary village workers were not forgotten either. Machine operators got the opportunity to evaluate new agricultural machines and tractors in their work, as well as measure their strength in the fight for the title of "Best Ploughman". We tried to tell about all this on the pages of the June issue.
Everything for pasture
The result of pasture care is increased milk yield. Unfortunately, we often forget about this, and there are not so many modern productive equipment. However, the last shortcoming is ready to be corrected by Minsk Agroservice OJSC, which has completed the formation of a line of pasture care machines. Meadow harrow BLN-6 allows you to break up tussocks, excrement, level the surface, improve the air regime of the surface layer - in a word, create good conditions for the growth of grasses. The mower-chopper cuts and grinds grass. Finally, a novelty - a pasture cultivator with the possibility of overseeding herbs will help with early spring pasture cultivation.
